Feeld
On its face it might seem like a simple dating app like all the others however as the website states “Feeld’s ever-evolving platform creates safer, more inclusive spaces online and IRL for everyone to express and explore gender, sexuality, and desire outside of existing blueprints”. In fact, I highly recommend checking out their about page where they really beautifully explain their intention for creating the app and the values behind it. Encompassing polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, homo- and heteroflexibility, pansexuality, asexuality, aromanticism, voyeurism, and kink, Feeld is incredibly inclusive. You create a profile including the basics like photos, age, gender, sexuality, interests, and about but then you can also add your desires. Desired relationships, three-ways & groups, and kinks. You can also link your partner/s to your profile. Then you get to swiping. Now, these profiles aren’t as in depth as other apps which I would guess is to inspire conversation and not superficial exclusion. You dole out likes to get matches, there are paid options for ‘pings’, revealing your likes, or to ‘uplift your profile’ which makes your profile more visible to people for 24 hours. A fabulous app for creating unique connections!
Free w/ paid options. Membership starting at $13.99 gets you unlimited likes per day (40 for free), one free ping a day, and seeing who likes you.
Spicer
A question-filled app for couples to get to know each other better, spice things up a little, and learn yourself! You are initially presented a stack of questions that you can mark YES, NO, or MAYBE and the ability to link your partner so you can both answer the questions and find your matches. You can add different questions ‘packs’. The app automatically starts you on the basics with questions like “ call partner obscene words (bitch, slut, whore etc) “ and “ have sex while on period “. You can also get Advanced, Bonus, Daily Questions, and Plus Questions packs for free. Advanced pack 1-7 and Roleplay packs are behind the paywall. You and your partner can also add your own questions. If you create an account the app will create lists based on how you’ve answered. In addition to your ‘matches’ list you will also get ‘maybe’, ‘open’, ‘done’, ‘mood’, ‘wishlist’, and ‘challenge’ then discuss them through the app’s chat feature. Another function of the app is being able to send each other dares, again, some are free, you can create your own, or you can buy some. Sort of Tinder-esque in the amount of swiping but fun nonetheless. Overall, I think if you have difficulty talking about sex or are inexperienced then this would be a great tool for starting those conversations.
Free w/ paid options and add-ons.
Sex Tracker by Nice
So I have known people who keep a list in their notes app or in their journal and I’ve seen the people who keep track and make a powerpoint wrap-up at the end of the year for tiktok, but now there is an official app for keeping track of your sex life! Down to all the nitty-gritty details. The free version allows you to add calendar entries for all of your sexual encounters and include time, date, ‘activities’ (anal, hj, oral, sex, masturbation), protection use, duration, and notes. You can see your logged stats and if you want to keep even more information, the premium version allows you to keep track of partners, orgasms, ratings, tags, locations, and STDs/pregnancies tests. If you are a person who is sexually active with multiple and changing partners this could be a really responsible and helpful resource to have or download just for funsies! Also if you are worried about storing personal data, the premium version allows you to lock the app with passcode or FaceID and import or export data (they don’t collect private info or store data in the cloud).
Free w/ paid premium option with all features. Not a subscription, $9.99 to own.
