Studio 54 (2018) a detailed account of the rise and fall of a legendary nightclub -made me endlessly jealous and nostalgic for a time I’ve never known
Abducted in Plain Sight (2017) an absolutely unbelievable true story about the abduction of a little girl that will leave you stunned
The Keepers (2017) heartbreaking mini series about the death of a young nun and the horrors of the Catholic Church 👀
Tell Me Who I Am (2019) a tale of two brothers that is undeniably thought-provoking
Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures (2016) honestly watched this, my friend came over and we immediately watched it again. Includes lots of gay shit, an unfortunate incident with a monkey, and the most fun cast of characters
I'll Be Gone in the Dark (2020-2021) one of the ultimate true crime documentaries. all about the Golden State Killer aka the East Area Rapist aka EARONS and Michelle McNamara’s pursuit of justice
Call Me Kate (2023) if you like old Hollywood you’ll love this film about the life and career of the (in)famous Katherine Hepburn
Evil Genius: The True Story of America's Most Diabolical Bank Heist (2018) about an insane plot to rob a bank that is pure entertainment
The Staircase (2004–2018) another pinnacle of true crime documentaries. a wife and mother dead so of course we assume the husband but what about the owl???
Gaga: Five Foot Two (2017) i love Gaga and this film made me love her even more so
Crip Camp (2020) a fun and lighthearted documentary that will make you laugh and cry or at least I did
Making a Murderer (2015–2018) i had been hearing about this series for years before I finally watched it during quarantine. unbelievable, shocking, infuriating.
Tiger King (2020–2021) the roar heard around the world in the early quarantine days and I was not immune. an oddly entertaining series of events among the big cat community
Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story (2021) a continuation of the og tiger king focusing on this sick f*ck that used captive animals to capture women
Sir! No Sir! (2005) the side of the Vietnam war that we didn’t learn about in school. i love history docs and this is a must imo
Our Planet (TV Series 2019–2023) calming, beautiful, and awe inspiring. perfect for a pre-bedtime show or background ambiance.
Amy (2015) r.i.p Amy Whinehouse 💔 my mom let me ditch school so we could see it together.

Paris Is Burning (1990) gay history. a must watch.
The Greatest Night in Pop (2024) the making of we are the world. a fun watch for the music and history buffs.
American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020) as a Coloradan this one hit particularly close to home and if you’re anything like me, will make you root for the death penalty
Woodstock (1970) again, if history and music are your thing you’ll love this. mostly footage from the event itself and how it blossomed over 3 days in rural Connecticut
Have a Good Trip (2020) naturally I watched this the first time I ever did acid. 10/10. highly recommend.
Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey (2022) mormons and all the crazy shit you’d expect with mormons. shocked but not surprised.
Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story (2020) #freecyntoiabrown you might remember seeing that on social media when 16 year old sex-trafficking victim Cyntoia Brown was given a life sentence for murdering her rapist. a hard and frustrating watch but worth it.
The Clinton Affair (2018) the real story of a President’s abuse of power and the young intern who got blamed. Monica deserved better. also watch her TED talk
Catching Killers (2021– ) different killer for every episode. the short and long of it.
Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024) if you grew up in the 90s and early 2000s this is going to hurt
Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God (2023) it’s even more batshit than it sounds.
Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed (2023) old Hollywood and the gay shit that everyone tried to hide
The Way Down - God, Greed and the Cult of Gwen Shamblin (2021) mega church millionaires 💰⛪️
Trainwreck: Woodstock '99 (2022) i was born in 97 and had no clue this even occurred until I saw this doc. a dystopian capitalist version of Woodstock ‘69
